Brass

Brass is a mixture of copper and zinc, which can be manufactured with different mixing ratios. The modification of the alloy ratio yields different kinds of brass, which can be generally divided into three main groups: lead-free brass (copper-zinc alloy), leaded brass and specialty nickel (also added other alloys).

However, the different main groups do not have clear clusters within the groups, since the characteristics of the brass varies depending on the amount of zinc and other alloys, so the lead-free brass can be of a variety.

Brass is usually used in situations where the raw material has to withstand corrosion. Brass is also stronger than pure copper. Common uses for brass are locks, door handles, coins, players (such as iron blowers), zippers, screws and many industrial applications.
